An expansive yet understated, contemporary bespoke walnut and marble kitchen for a family home in Primrose Hill, North London. The ambition was to create a calm, refined kitchen centred around beautiful, natural materials and careful detailing.

A simple arrangement of full-height walnut cabinetry provides generous storage and conceals appliances, while a characterful marble island worktop forms the focal point of the space and a place to gather, cook and entertain. The layout is highly functional, creating a clear distinction between preparation, storage and social spaces. A large central island offers ample worktop space alongside informal seating, allowing the kitchen to become a natural extension of everyday family life.

Working with DF_DC Architects as part of their wider renovation project, the kitchen is designed to complement the refined material palette and careful detailing throughout the home.

A warm material palette of rich walnut cabinetry and paired with Arabescato marble worktops creates a timeless kitchen balancing the texture of timber with the expressive veining of natural stone. Minimal detailing, integrated appliances and carefully considered lighting contribute to a calm and enduring atmosphere throughout.

The result is a contemporary kitchen that feels both practical and welcoming; designed to age gracefully and provide a lasting backdrop to daily life, family gatherings and entertaining alike.

Concealed within the walnut cabinetry are many some carefully crafted storage solutions to maximise functionality and maintain a clutter free, calm kitchen including a bespoke spice rack, pull out pantry larder storage, dinner plate storage and breakfast bar.

A luxurious drinks cabinet is concealed behind the pocketing full height kitchen doors and features an internal marble worktop with open walnut shelving above and drawers below to contain everything you might need to pour a glass of wine from the adjacent wine fridge or make your favourite cocktail.
