A warm, rich and robust kitchen within a new extension for a family home off Ecclesall Road, Sheffield. A distinct material palette of steamed beech, moss green stained cabinetry and limestone worktop responds to the clients inspiration to connect the space to the nearby Peak District.
A photograph of a moss covered rock from a countryside walk formed the client’s inspiration and the kitchen aims to engage with the rich tones and hues within.

When we met Adam and Darren we had a pretty good idea of the general arrangement we wanted, but no sense of the look and feel - all we had to give them was a picture of a boulder covered in lichen.
They asked lots of questions and came back with suggestions to improve the layout, a material palette inspired by the Peak District landscape and beautifully illustrated options for how to apply the palette. It was exactly right for us and our home so it was really easy to make the final decisions, especially because the 3D drawings were so realistic - and once the kitchen was finished it looked exactly like the drawings!
They were great to work with from start to finish and took loads of care to get it right.’
